Good thoughts and observations. One of the things that my clients often see is that after a breakup that happened fairly early in their life or their relationship experience that they respond in one of two different ways.
One, that become insecure and chase the other person away with clinginess and other cries of insecurity.
Or second, they understand that they could lose this person (through more than just a breakup) and focus on the moments they can be together with this person instead of worrying about the future.
